Yearling ewes with great style and
capacity.  We want our sheep to
look great in the pasture as well as on
the dinner table!
Lincolns are dual purpose sheep, used for both their meat as
well as their fleece.  We actively select for animals that can be
productive on a diet of grass, hay and alfalfa.  We grow our
own grass hay and purchase alfalfa from a local farmer.
Based on almost a decade of experience, I would have to say
that Lincolns are among the toughest and smartest sheep I
have ever met.  These guys are thrifty and rugged and I love
them.
Classic Lincoln yearling rams growing out on grass.  The
natural colored ram on the right is a triplet and the white
ram is a twin.  We select for prolificacy as well as growth
rates that get us lambs weighing 120 lbs. in 6 to 8 months
on a pasture based diet.  80% of the farm's revenues come
from direct meat sales.
